With "Mostly Organic Demand," Threads App Passes 100 Million Users
This week, Threads, an Instagram app for text messaging, was released. Within the first 48 hours of its launch, the number of signups skyrocketed.
There are currently more over 100 million accounts on the Threads app, going by the number badges that appear on Instagram profiles and indicate when someone joined.
The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that the 70 million signups were "beyond our expectations." He pointed out that at 100 million, it's "mostly" organic demand without "many" marketing.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri celebrated the 100 million user milestone, noting the efforts of everyone working on Threads.
